Case Study: Choosing a Bespoke Open Fire should be quick and convenient

Here’s an example of a recent Camelot Real Fires project involving a bespoke open fire for a thatched property.

We were contacted by a London architect who was managing his own private renovation of an old style cottage in the Cotswolds. He had already created an innovative, contemporary kitchen annex, and his ultimate aim was to enter his property for an architectural award.

Now he was looking for a bespoke open fire to complete the project. With this professional background he knew exactly what he wanted. He was considering a Thermovent open fire but wanted it made to order as detail mattered to him. The fire needed to be sympathetic to the style of the house, efficient with good heat production, and safe to use in a thatched property.

We undertook a design survey visit and following discussions quickly agreed that our “Anniversary Edition” thermovent convector fire with steel canopy, ball top dog irons and a scroll top grate front at the current RRP of £3,800 would meet his requirements.

We scheduled in delivery of the custom made fire for the tail end of his project, and here you can see the finished product.

Crown Fire Installations, our sister installation company, undertook the thatch safe installation of the fire.

Our client was delighted with the fire, and Crown Fire Installations work – so much so that they were happy to leave for London prior to Crown Fire completing the installation on the final day, having settled the bill.

So, creating a bespoke inglenook fire that meets your individual needs is a much more straight forward process for you than you might think!

Tell us what you’re looking for, agree a design together and our expert team will do the rest.
